Thinking of how in my family that was never done successfully, the internet is actually much easier to use.

Obsolete by now. What else would one still use a computer for, but. Sure, text writing or photo editing, but all that eventually lands on the internet anyway.
"Imagine sitting down with your morning coffee, turning on your home computer to read the days newspaper! Well, it's not as far fetched as it may seem."
No, it's reality by now.
A lot has changed in the past 15 to 20 years. ;O)
